Day 1

Air Port pick up & Overnight stay at Negombo

You will be welcomed & picked up by our chauffer guide from Colombo International airport & transfer to Negombo for your first night stay.
Negombo is a major tourist destination in Sri Lanka. This city is an ideal and liberal place with luxury, tropical life style, for those who want quick access to and from the country’s main international airport and also to Colombo city. The 100 km long canal network running through the city is still used, and outrigger canoes and modern water-craft ply this route daily, for trade and tourist purposes. Remnants of colonization include the Dutch fort built in 1672, as well as centuries-old Portuguese and Dutch houses, Administrative buildings, Churches and the ceiling frescoes of St. Mary’s Cathedral. Negombo is also home to the country’s second-largest fish market, also locally famous as being called the “Lellama (Lel-La-Ma)”, at the north end of the town’s lagoon. There are daily fish auctions, which give tourists a chance to meet the area’s fishermen, buy fish and even organize fishing trips into the lagoon and the ocean beyond.

Day 2

Anuradhapura Ancient City
After Breakfast and leave for Anuradhapura Ancient City. Anuradhapura is the birthplace of Sinhala civilization & one of the world’s largest archeological sites. It is considered as the greatest monastic city of the ancient world, & was founded in the 5th century BC.

Day 3

Ayurvedic & Yoga Stay- Ritigala
After breakfast, you will be transferred to one of most beautiful countryside ancient village of Sri Lanka “Ritigala”. You will be checked in to one of the best Ayurvedic Resort in Sri Lanka Athreya Ashram Nature Hotel, Ritigala.
Athreya Ashram Nature Hotel offers daily Ayurveda treatments, yoga sessions and they only provide Sri Lankan Vegetarian healthy food.

Day 4

Wellness day with Nature

Day 5

Wellness Day and visit Ritigala Ancient Buddhist Monastery
*Visit & explore the “Ritigala Ancient Buddhist Monastery”.  Ritigala is a culture and eco tourist destination that never ceases to fascinate you. The archeological site of Ritigala monastery can be accessed only when we make inroads into Ritigala Strict Nature Reserve of Ritigala mountain range. Ruins of Ritigala monastery are located on the eastern side of the mountain at the foot of the gorge which separates the main peak from the northern ridge of the range. The ruins cover an area of 24 hectares (60 acres). The monastery precinct begins at the office of the on-site branch of Department of Archeology of Sri Lanka close to the foot of the reservoir named Banda Pokuna. The ancient man-made reservoir is an impressive feet of engineering with a bund of polygonal plan completing a circumference of 366 meters. The construction of the reservoir is credited to King Pandukabhaya (437 -367 BC).

Day 6

Ancient Wonders- Sigiriya Lion Rock
Check out from the hotel and transfer to Sigiriya. Explore the 8th wonder of the ancient world “Sigiriya Lion Rock”
Sigiriya is an ancient palace located in the central Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 metres (660 ft) high. According to the ancient Sri Lankan chronicle the Culavamsa, this site was selected by King Kasyapa (477 – 495 CE) for his new capital. He built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colourful frescoes. On a small plateau about halfway up the side of this rock he built a gateway in the form of an enormous lion. The name of this place is derived from this structure —Sīhāgiri, the Lion Rock. The capital and the royal palace was abandoned after the king’s death. It was used as a Buddhist monastery until the 14th century.

Day 7

Polonnaruwa Medieval Capital & Minneriya Safari Tour

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the medieval capital and the second kingdom of Sri Lanka “Polonnaruwa Ancient City”. Polonnaruwa is the main town of Polonnaruwa District in the North Central Province, Sri Lanka. Kaduruwela area is the Polonnaruwa New Town and the other part of Polonnaruwa, remains as the royal ancient city of Polonnaruwa kingdom.The second most ancient of Sri Lanka’s kingdoms, Polonnaruwa was first declared the capital city by King Vijayabahu I, who defeated the Chola invaders in 1070 to reunite the country once more under a local leader.The Ancient City of Polonnaruwa has been declared a World Heritage Site.

After Polonnaruwa ancient tour, transfer to Minneriya National Park for an adventurous Jeep Safari tour

Day 8

Golden Rock Temple, Temple of Tooth and the Last Kingdom
Breakfast at the hotel and leave for Kandy. en- Route visit Dambulla Golden Rock Temple (Dambulla Cave Temple)
Golden Rock is a cave temple which dates back to the 1st Century .BC. Its rock ceiling is one large sweep of colorful frescoes which depict Buddhist mythology and the tales of the Buddha’s previous births. The caves house the largest collection of Buddha statues in one place.
After Golden Rock Temple leave for Kandy en route visit Matale Spice & Herbal Garden.

Kandy is the second largest city in the country after Colombo. It was the last capital of the ancient kings’ era of Sri Lanka. The city lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy plateau, which crosses an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea. Kandy is both an administrative and religious city and is also the capital of the Central Province. Kandy is the home of The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world. It was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988.

Day 9

Ceylon Tea Experience, Hill Country and Little England 
Breakfast at the Hotel and Leave for Nuwara Eliya. En route visit Tea Factory, Tea Plantation and Scenic Ramboda Waterfall.
Nuwara Eliya is a city, in the hill country of the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The city name meaning is “ Little England” , “city on the plain (table land)” or “city of light”. The city is the administrative capital of Nuwara Eliya District, with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate. It is located at an altitude of 1,868 m (6,128 ft) and is considered to be the most important location for Tea production in Sri Lanka. The city is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya is also known for the temperate, cool climate, the city is known for being the coolest area in Sri Lanka.

Day 10

Scenic Train Journey to paradise in hill country “Ella”
Check out after breakfast at your hotel in Nuwara Eliya and you will be transferred to Nanu Oya train station for the most scenic train journey of Sri Lanka “Nanu Oya to Ella”. You will have a scenic 2 hours train ride to Ella and you will be picked up from Ella train station by our chauffer guide.
Ella is a small scenic town in Badulla District and it is approximately 200 kilometers east of Colombo and is situated at an elevation of 1,041 meters above sea level. The area has a rich bio-diversity, dense with numerous varieties of flora and fauna. Also a top popular tourist hub with full of beautiful sightseeing. The ideal place to relax while some beautiful trekking and sightseeing.

Day 11

Safari Adventure of Yala
Check out from your hotel and travel to Tissamaharama.  And do an adventurous Jeep Safari tour of Yala National Park.
Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. The park consists of five blocks, two of which are now open to the public, and also adjoining parks. The blocks have individual names such as, Ruhuna National Park (block 1) and Kumana National Park or ‘Yala East’ for the adjoining area. It is situated in the southeast region of the country, and lies in Southern Province and Uva Province. The park covers 979 square kilometres (378 sq mi) and is located about 300 kilometres (190 mi) from Colombo. Yala was designated as a wildlife sanctuary in 1900, and, along with Wilpattu was one of the first two national parks in Sri Lanka, having been designated in 1938. The park is best known for its variety of wild animals. It is important for the conservation of Sri Lankan elephants, Sri Lankan leopards and aquatic birds.

Day 13

Relaxing day with Yoga
You will have a relaxing day at the hotel while having a yoga session at the beach.
Explore the “Galle Dutch Fort” in the evening.  An ancient city which is now a modern and buzzing town today. It was the most important sea port way back in history, where the sea faring merchants arrived to trade and barter. This is also where the Portuguese first set foot in the year 1505 and built a fortress, which was later captured and fortified by the Dutch. The fortress is one of the best preserved in the island. A visit to the fortress and to watch the sunset from the rampart is an experience unforgettable. The oldest Protestant church in the country called the ‘Groote Kirk’ built by the Dutch is located inside the Fort. It is situated close to New Oriental Hotel also built by them as the Governor’s Residence in 1684.

Day 14

Colombo city tour
You will be transferred to the commercial capital of Sri Lanka “Colombo”. Do a city tour of Colombo.
